5. How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes, and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
6. Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile phone number, you may receive text messages from us, including appointment reminders. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase of any medical service. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for assistance. Our full messaging terms are described in our Terms and Conditions.
We limit the protected health information included in text messages to the minimum necessary, such as your name and appointment date and time. We do not use unencrypted text messaging to discuss diagnoses, clinical findings, or detailed medical instructions. Unencrypted text messages may be viewable by others who have access to your device or mobile account. If you prefer not to receive any health information by text, you may opt out at any time and request an alternative method of communication.
7. HIPAA and Protected Health Information
Health information collected through our intake forms, patient portal, or clinical records is handled in accordance with HIPAA. Our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices governs protected health information specifically and describes your rights regarding that information, including your right to access, amend, and request restrictions on your health information. In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls with respect to protected health information.

We maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, including access controls, encryption of information in transit, and restricting access to those who need it to perform their duties. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
